The Department of Banking and Finance started at the inception of Dennis Osadebay University, established by law in February 2021. Meanwhile, the academic session began on September 1st, 2021. At inception, the department had several experienced lecturers. The team of lecturers led the department along the path of academics. Dr. O.S. Alagba was the pioneer Head of the Department who assumed office on August 1st,2021. He directed the affairs of the department from the date of assuming office. The teaching and non-teaching staff ably supported him. However, on 1st July 2023, Dr. O.S. ALAGBA handed over the affairs of the Department to Dr.Idowu EFERAKEYA on 1st July 2023.
