Department of Computer Science

I am Dr Innocent Ejiro Okoloko. I obtained the PhD Mechatronic Engineering (Stellenbosch University, 2012), the MSc Embedded Systems and Robotics (with Distinction, University of Essex, UK, 2002), and the BSc Computer Science (University of Benin, 1998). I have over 20 years of teaching experience at the university level, spread in the areas of Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering (robotics and drone technologies), Library and Information Science. My research interests also span most of the teaching areas listed above. However, my areas of specialization can be broadly listed as Computer Science and Systems Engineering. I am a senior member of the Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), and a member of the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). I helped to establish the Faculty of Computing of DOU from the inception of the University. Currently, I am a Senior Lecturer and was the Acting HOD of Computer Science from 2022 to 2023. I am also happily married. I am open to discuss projects in software, embedded systems, robotics, drones and other aerospace systems.
