Oghenetega is a resourceful geologist currently serving as an Assistant Lecturer at Dennis Osadebay University, Nigeria. With a diverse professional background that spans petroleum marketing, environmental and safety operations, and ICT operations, Oghenetega brings a wealth of practical experience to the academic environment. At Dennis Osadebay University, Oghenetega teaches undergraduate geology courses, evaluates students through various assessments, and contributes to some non-academic functions. In addition to teaching, Oghenetega is actively engaged in independent scientific research, aiming to advance the field of geology generally with a particular focus on environmental and hydrogeology. Prior to joining Dennis Osadebay University, Oghenetega held the position of Operations Lead at PEB ICT Centre, where he was responsible for overseeing the centre's general operations and interfacing with government agencies and regulatory bodies. In this role, Oghenetega also trained students in ICT programmes such as Microsoft Office, Graphics Design, and UI/UX Design Essentials, and managed the company's social media handles and corporate communications. This role allowed him to hone his skills in project management, effective communication and advanced IT, further enhancing his capability to contribute to corporate goals and objectives. He has also previously functioned in a role in the downstream sector of the petroleum industry. This role provided him with substantial experience in health, safety, and environmental management, which complements his academic and research interests. Oghenetega is well-equipped to communicate complex geological concepts effectively and contribute meaningfully to academic and professional communities.
