Dr NGOZI-CHIKA Chiazor Stephen

Ngozi-Chika  Chiazor Stephen holds a B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Geology. Additionally, he holds a B.Ed. in Educational Management with 1st Class Honours. He is the Head, Department of Geology at Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, Nigeria. He is a brilliant scholar with a wealth of administrative, industrial, and professional experience. He teaches, researches, and supervises research projects and works in geology and geosciences and oversees research initiatives. Ngozi-Chika has authored multiple peer-reviewed scientific publications, the majority of which can be found in some of the most prominent geoscience journals worldwide. Furthermore, he has tutored and graduated other students, and he has been recognized with multiple prizes for his outstanding and meritorious services. Ngozi-Chika was a lecturer at Salem University for a number of years. He led and served on numerous university committees throughout his time at SU providing insightful contributions. In addition, he was the University SIWES Coordinator until his departure. In this capacity, he made sure the SIWES office was operated legally and efficiently and that the institution maintained records with SIWES Headquarters and NUC, which had not previously been the case. Ngozi-Chika was the pioneer Chief Editor, NMGS, Lokoja Chapter. He has directed industry research initiatives in of areas of petrology, economic geology, mineral exploration, geochemistry, geophysics, mineralogy, geosciences, agro-geology, and many more. In addition to numerous national and international conferences, he has taken part in field studies and UNESCO/IGCP International Conference for Project 606, which focused on the theme “Quest for Pragmatic Solutions to Complex Environment Problems of Small-scale Mining (ASM)” in Kumasi, Ghana. He is an avid researcher, an excellent science communicator, a great scholar, and a geologist with a good background in ICT and proven capability to integrate knowledge, ideas, and skills to solve complex geologic problems in solid minerals, oil and gas, and allied industries. Ngozi-Chika has undertaken and successfully completed a number of major and mini projects and attended various courses and symposia in the general areas of "geosciences," “educational management," “computer operations and engineering," “research methodology," “public health," "agrogeology and "marketing.".
