Angela Okolo is a dance artist from Delta state, Nigeria. She is a graduate of the University of Benin, where she obtained a bachelor and master's degree from the Department of Theatre Arts. She currently doing a PhD program in the in the same department at the same university. She has led interactions, organise workshops and create dance works within the University community. Throughout her career, Angela has collaborated and undergone various dance trainings and taken part in numerous performances with the esteemed choreographers like Qudus Onikeku, Dr. Abbe Josephine and Prof. Chris Ugolo. She has performed with the Q Dance Company, Lagos and has toured locally and internationally with them, showcasing her talents in countries like France, U.S.A, Greece, Spain, Canada, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Ghana, Lagos, Abuja and Togo. In addition to performing, Angela is currently teaching contemporary dance and choreography at Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, Delta State Nigeria. Looking ahead, Angela aims to continue pushing the boundaries of dance, expanding the frontiers of dance choreography, especially contemporary African dance. To give hope to the younger generation that dance is serious business.
