Prof Chrysogonus Chinagorom Nwaigwe

Born to the Family of Elder Patrick Ohadike Nwaigwe and Ezinne Celestina Chimeziri Nwaigwe of Ummuikiku Umuanyamele Umuohiagu in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria, Chrysogonus Chinagorom Nwaigwe, a Catholic Christian by birth, attended Umuohiagu Central School, Umuohiagu and Umuohiagu Secondary School during his early education. He attended University of Ibadan (U. I.), Nigeria for his Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics and University of Nigeria Nsukka (U. N. N.) for his higher degrees. He joined the services of University of Nigeria, Nsukka as a Part-Time Lecturer between 2004 and 2005. He later joined the services of Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) in 2005 as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. He rose to the rank of Associate Professor of Statistics in 2017. He has served FUTO in various capacities including, Acting Head of the Department of Statistics from 2020 - 2022. He is presently on sabbatical leave at Dennis Osadebay University Asaba where he is coordinating the Statistics Program.
