Dr Udinmwen Efosa

Dr UDINMWEN Efosa is a structural geologist with a specific interest in the structures, tectonics and mineralizations of the Nigerian basement complex. He is also interested in the structural controls on mineralizations in the basement complexes of Nigeria. Dr Udinmwen is one of the earliest scholars to conduct strain analysis using the polymictic metaconglomerates in the Igarra schist belt, South Western Nigeria. He is also the first to work on Palaeostress analysis of the eastern Oban massif. Furthermore, he is the first scholar to study the structural geology of the collonade and entablature of the Ikom Columnar basalt, South Eastern Nigeria. His current research is on the pegmatite and manganese mineralizations in the eastern Oban Massif, South Eastern Nigeria. He has a Masters's degree in Structural Geology / Tectonics and a Doctorate degree in Structural Geology with Mineral Exploration. At the moment, Dr Udinmwen has over 20 research works (publications) in local, foreign and reputable institution journals.
