Dr Odigbo Stanley Chukwudebe

Dr Stanley Chukwudebe Nnamdi Odigbo was born on 13th November 1962 at Boji-BojiOwa in Ika North-East Local Government area of Delta State. He hails from Igbodo in the same local government area. He attended St. John’s Anglican School Agbor, and Ika Grammar School Agbor where he passed out with Division One. After a stint of teaching at Igumbor-Otiku Primary School for one year, he proceeded to the University of Portharcourt to read POLITICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE STUDIES and graduated in 1984 with Second Class Honours, Upper Division. After his NYSC, he worked first as a teacher in a Community Secondary School in Mushu, rural Plateau State, and subsequently as Sales Representative and rose to the position of Sales Manager in three different private sector organizations before joining the Delta State Civil Service in 2002 as an Administrative Officer. In 2014, he was re-deployed to work as a Research Assistant with Delta State Think-Tank on the National Confab, Abuja. Throughout his working life and in the bid to add value and become more relevant to his work situation, he attended various tertiary institutions which include University of Portharcourt, University of Jos, NnamdiAzikiwe University, Awka and the University of Benin to obtain qualifications of BSc, PGDE, PGDM, MSc and PhD respectively. He has also attended several professional seminars and workshops among which are with the Centre for Management Development (CMD) and the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) where he acquired a Certificate in Management Consultancy. During his career as a Civil Servant, Dr Odigbo co-published “THE SUBSTANCE OF GOVERNANCE”, a book that was publicly presented by the then State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan. He has also published in Journals, local and national Newspapers. His field of interest span across Politics and Governance, Policy Studies and Development Studies. His career objectives include Teaching, Writing, Training and Research for Appropriate Public Policy Processes for Improved Governance and Poverty Reduction. Presently, he is a practising consultant in Staff training and Development, alongside his work as a lecturer at Dennis Osadebay University, Anwai, Asaba. He is a recipient of distinctions and awards which include 1978 Local Government Schools Literary Competition (3rd Prize) and Federal Merit Award (Academic), 1981. Dr. Odigbo is happily married with one wife and four (4) children.
