Blessing Adjeketa (PhD),
currently works in the Department of Creative Arts, Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria. I am a scholar in the Medical Humanities whose research interest is in the intersection of Performance, Film and Mental Health Care. I also research Animation films and the child development. I have worked as a Mental Health care assistant in a mental health care home in Sapele Delta State Nigeria. Working with people with Dementia and psychosis in care homes has greatly influenced my research focus. I currently research how Theatre, Film and Performance can be used to correct African Cultural and religious perceived causes and choices of treatment places for the Mentally ill, and it's implications to other nations.
