Christopher E. Okolie is a Pharmacologist and Academic, with a career dedicated to advancing pharmacological sciences and higher education in Nigeria. He currently serves as an academic staff member in the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba. He has also served as the Coordinator/Ag. Head of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, College of Pharmacy, Igbinedion University, Okada. Prior to his experience at Igbinedion University, he served as a lecturer at the F.C.T. School of Nursing and Midwifery, where he contributed to the training of students in the health sciences. He subsequently lectured at the EMT-Paramedic School, Institute of Health Sciences and Technology, University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Benin City, further broadening his teaching experience across different areas of health and biomedical sciences. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Pharmacology from Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Benin City. This robust academic background provided the foundation for his specialized expertise in Neuropharmacology and Toxicology. As a researcher, Christopher Okolie is deeply committed to exploring the pharmacological potential of natural products and the safety profiling of chemical agents. His current research focuses on investigating neuroprotective mechanisms against CNS disorders and assessing the toxicological impacts of chemicals. His work aims to bridge the gap between traditional ethnomedicine and modern therapeutic applications.
