Prof Nkeoyeasua Florence Olele

She obtained a B.Sc. Honors degree in Zoology (Parasitology, in Unical 1982); M.Sc. in Fisheries Management (UI, 1985); Post Graduate Diploma in Education (Uniben, 1990) and Ph.D Fish Biology/Hydrology (Uniben, 2004). She is currently a Professor of Fisheries Management and Fish Biology/Hydrology. She joined the services of the default Asaba Campus of the Delta State University, Abraka in 1995 as a lecturer 11 and rose through the ranks to a full-fledged Professor on 1st October, 2013. The following years (2009 to 2011 & 2013 to 2014) represents the periods of her services as Head of Department of Fisheries, in the default Asaba Campus of the Delta State University, Abraka. She was also a visiting scholar, at the University of Benin, during the 2011/2012 academic year. She is currently, in the Dennis Osadebay University, an institution established in March, 2021. She is the current Head, Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture. Prof Olele is a seasoned academic, not only with the ability for imaginative thought, but also the capacity for persistent academic research. As a dedicated and focused lecturer, having impressive capacity for teaching garnered through deep and broad experience from academics and university administration, her mentorship and students project supervision both at the under and postgraduate levels is on record. She has doubled as external examiner (viva voce) at the masters and Ph.D levels as well as assessed lecturers for promotion (at the professorial cadre) in six Universities. She is an active member of professional societies (Fisheries Society of Nigeria; and Organization of Women Scientists in a developing World). As an amiable personage with dynamic visual presence, she earns respect in honesty, trustworthiness and dependability. She is physically healthy, psychologically balanced, emotionally stable and mentally alert. Her leadership qualities, gives credence for the follower-ship she commands from colleagues, which is the reason other humans can work conveniently under her leadership. She is proficient and fluent in both written and spoken English. She has over 80 Scientific Publications (in revered International and National academic Journals, Textbooks and Conference Proceedings) are to her credit.
